About this site

Thinkleet.net is where I write up whatever I've been building, breaking, or reverse engineering. SDR builds, Meshtastic nodes, LED panels that took longer than they should have, 3D printers with the warranty already gone. If it involved solder, a command line, or a genuinely bad decision, it probably ends up here.

The site launched in 2015 (between 2006 and 2007 someone else had it, it lapsed, sat unregistered for ~10 years, and I registered it). It never went offline, never got shut down, never moved anywhere (except for a couple changes from shared hosting to VPS, and moving from Wordpress to Ghost). I just stopped posting for a long stretch, because life happened. The site was always still here. I just wasn't writing.

There's no subscription. No newsletter. No community to join. It's one person writing about whatever's on the bench, and that's the entire purpose.

What to expect

Full build logs, not summaries. Wiring, actual code, the mistake that cost an evening and the fix that took five minutes once I stopped guessing. Some of it is polished. Some of it is field notes I wrote at 1am and never went back to clean up.

How often

Whenever there's something worth writing about. No schedule, no content calendar, no pressure to post. I'm one person, this is fun for me. Maybe life gets in the way, maybe not, but I'll try not to have 7 years of silence again. RSS still exists and still works, if you want to know when something new goes up.
